About the Artist

Judy evolved as a photographer after a long career as a collaborative artist. She founded Phantom Audio Corp in 1991, which has remained influential on the New York advertising and production scene. Previously, she worked as Studio and Production Manager at Lucas/McFaul – one of the top “jingle” companies of its time – and served as a music producer, radio producer, and casting director at several New York advertising agencies. Judy’s background also includes Stage Manager in Residence at Playwrights Horizons, Associate Producer at The Playwrights’ Realm, and producer of various films. She was one of a select group of interviewers for Steven Spielberg’s Shoah Foundation.

Recently, Mauer has turned the day-to-day running of her company over to her associates and has concentrated on her photographic journey, putting herself through an accelerated course of learning and discovery. Since her first show in January of 2013, she has shown in numerous exhibitions in the US and abroad – from London to Miami to Juraplatz, Switzerland, and many more. She is represented by the Lawrence Fine Art Gallery in East Hampton, as well as the Arte Arte in Rio de Janiero.
